What to Expect

During your initial visit, the doctor will conduct a comprehensive assessment by gathering a detailed case history and performing a thorough examination focused on your specific complaint. This examination encompasses various components, including dynamic movement screens, joint assessment, muscle length assessment, range of motion tests, orthopedic tests, and neurological exams. Through these tests, the doctor will identify potential factors contributing to your condition and discuss their findings with you. This initial visit is about 45 minutes, with follow up visits being either 30 minutes or 15 minutes.

Based on the examination results, a personalized plan of care will be established. We take pride in not adhering to industry norms but instead invest ample time in thoroughly assessing and understanding your complaint. Our typical treatment plans range from 4-7 visits depending on the severity of your condition. We want to help you get out of pain and teach you to move better, not see you 3x a week for a month.

Due to the functional nature of the examination and therapies we utilize, patients are encouraged to wear loose fitting or athletic apparel that allows skin contact in the area of your primary complaint.

At KC Spine and Sport, we recognize that medications and surgeries are available options; however, we always recommend exhausting conservative, non-invasive measures before considering more invasive therapies. Chiropractic care has proven to be a cost-effective healthcare specialty for managing musculoskeletal pain.

If you do not respond to our conservative care approach after several visits, we have the ability to refer you to other medical professionals who can provide further assistance and expertise.

Do You Take My Insurance?

Due to ever increasing copays and amounts of red tape, and ever decreasing reimbursements KC Spine and Sport currently does not accept any insurance or Medicare/Medicaid. Many of the services that we include in a normal visit are not covered by any insurance plans so instead of nickel and diming our patients with extra fees, or having to cater our visits around what insurance covers, we have chosen to include all our services under an easy and competitive cash rate. You may be eligible for reimbursement from your insurance by submitting a Superbill which we can provide upon request.

Payment is due at time of service. We accept payment through Cash, Credit/Debit Card, and HSA/FSA cards.
